1. About BuzzCheck

BuzzCheck Inc. ("BuzzCheck", "we", "us", or "our") operates a verification marketplace for used tech, accessible at buzzcheck.com. BuzzCheck is not the seller of the items listed and does not own inventory. Independent sellers list items and buyers purchase them; when an item sells, the seller ships it to BuzzCheck, where our verification team tests it and confirms it matches the listing before it is shipped on to the buyer. We process payments through our payment provider, Stripe.

By creating an account or completing a transaction on BuzzCheck, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree, do not use BuzzCheck.

2. Definitions

• Buyer: Any registered user who purchases an item on BuzzCheck.
• Seller: Any registered user who lists an item for sale on BuzzCheck.
• Listing: A seller's offer to sell a specific item at a stated asking price or via offer/auction.
• Transaction: A completed purchase event, from buyer payment through verification and delivery to the buyer.
• Condition Grade: A letter grade (A, B, or C) assigned to each item by the seller, indicating its cosmetic and functional state.
• Verification: The functional testing and listing check BuzzCheck's verification team performs on each item after the seller ships it to us and before it is shipped to the buyer.
• Payment Processor: Stripe, the third-party provider that securely processes buyer payments and seller payouts.

3. Buyer Terms

3.1 Payment. When a buyer completes a purchase, payment is collected at checkout and processed securely by Stripe. BuzzCheck does not store your card details.

3.2 What You're Buying. You are purchasing an item as described by the seller in the listing, including the seller's photos, written description, and condition grade. Read the listing carefully before buying.

3.3 Verification & Shipping. After you buy, the seller ships the item to BuzzCheck. Our verification team tests the item to confirm it functions and matches the listing. If it passes, BuzzCheck ships it to you. Because the item passes through verification before it reaches you, total delivery time depends on both the seller's shipping to us and our onward shipping to you.

3.4 Verified or Refunded. If an item does not pass verification, or does not match the listing (condition grade, specifications, or functionality), the purchase is cancelled, the item is returned to the seller, and you receive a full refund to your original payment method via Stripe. If an item that passed verification still reaches you with a problem, contact BuzzCheck support and we will make it right.

3.5 Offers. Buyers may submit offers below the listed asking price. A seller has 24 hours to accept, counter, or decline. BuzzCheck does not guarantee any offer will be accepted.

4. Seller Terms

4.1 Accurate Listings. Sellers must list items accurately and honestly. Misrepresenting an item's condition, specifications, authenticity, or provenance is grounds for immediate account suspension and forfeiture of any funds owed.

4.2 Shipping to BuzzCheck. When an item sells, the seller must ship it to BuzzCheck — not to the buyer — within 3 business days, using a carrier of their choice, and add tracking to the order. The seller is responsible for their own shipping arrangements to us and for packaging the item so it arrives safely. Items not shipped within this window may result in the transaction being cancelled and the seller's listing being suspended.

4.3 Verification. Every item is tested by BuzzCheck's verification team on arrival and checked against the listing. The item must match the condition, specifications, and description in the listing and must be functional. If an item fails verification or does not match the listing, it is returned to the seller, the buyer is refunded in full, and no payout is made for that sale.

4.4 Payout. Sellers are paid after their item passes verification. Payouts are handled through Stripe to the seller's connected account. BuzzCheck reserves the right to hold a payout while a transaction is under review.

4.5 Prohibited Actions. Sellers may not communicate with buyers directly to circumvent a transaction on BuzzCheck, offer the same item off-platform, or manipulate listing prices through fake offers. Violations result in permanent account termination.

5. Listings & Descriptions

Every listing on BuzzCheck is created by an independent seller, who is responsible for accurately representing their item, including:

• Photos: Real photos of the actual item being sold — not stock images or manufacturer renders.
• Condition grade: An honest A, B, or C grade (see Section 6) reflecting the item's cosmetic and functional state.
• Description: A written description covering specifications, known defects, included accessories, and usage history.
• Price: The seller's asking price. BuzzCheck may display recent market data for reference only.

Sellers who misrepresent items are subject to the enforcement measures in Sections 4 and 9.

6. Condition Grading

Sellers assign each item a condition grade based on its cosmetic and functional state:

• Grade A — Like New: Minimal to no visible signs of prior use. Performance within 5% of manufacturer new specifications. All original accessories included unless listed otherwise.
• Grade B — Good: Light cosmetic wear (minor surface scratches or scuffs) not visible during normal use. Fully functional. Non-essential accessories may be absent.
• Grade C — Fair: Visible cosmetic wear that does not affect functionality. May show scratches, marks, or discoloration. Fully functional and passes all performance tests.

Sellers must choose the grade that honestly reflects the item. If an item arrives in materially worse condition than its listed grade, the buyer may report it under Section 7.

7. Buyer Protection — Verified or Refunded

BuzzCheck's buyer protection is verification. Every item is tested by our verification team before it ships to you, so problems are caught before an item ever reaches you.

During verification, if an item:

• Does not match the seller's photos, description, or condition grade in a material way, or
• Is non-functional or significantly different from what was listed,

…it does not pass. When an item fails verification:

• You are refunded in full. The purchase is cancelled and your payment is returned to your original payment method via Stripe.
• The item is returned to the seller and no payout is made for that sale.

Because items are tested before they ship, an item that fails never reaches you. If an item that passed verification still arrives with a problem, contact BuzzCheck support and we will work with you to make it right. Buyer-caused damage, misuse, or normal wear consistent with the listed grade is not covered.

8. Fees & Payments

8.1 Buyer Fees. Buyers pay the listed item price plus a 3% marketplace fee and a flat $15 transaction fee, both applied at checkout. These fees cover operating the marketplace, verification, and processing payment.

8.2 Seller Fees. Sellers are charged an 8% commission on the final sale price. A payment processing fee of 2.5% is also deducted. Sellers arrange and pay for their own shipping to BuzzCheck. There are no listing fees.

8.3 Payouts. Seller payouts are handled through Stripe to the seller's connected account after the item passes verification. BuzzCheck reserves the right to hold a payout while a transaction is under review.

8.4 Refunds. If an item fails verification or does not match the listing, the buyer is refunded in full to their original payment method via Stripe (see Section 7).

9. Prohibited Items

The following items may not be listed or sold on BuzzCheck under any circumstances:

• Counterfeit, cloned, or modified items presented as genuine
• Items with removed or altered serial numbers
• Items known to be stolen
• Items used for cryptocurrency mining where mining history is not disclosed
• Items that have been water-damaged and repaired without disclosure
• Any item not in the electronics or computer hardware categories supported by BuzzCheck

BuzzCheck reserves the right to reject any listing at its discretion. Sellers found in violation of this section will be permanently banned and may be reported to relevant authorities.

10. Disputes

Most disputes are resolved by verification itself: an item that fails testing or does not match the listing is returned to the seller and the buyer is refunded, before it ever ships onward. Where a further dispute arises:

• The verification result — whether the item passed or failed, and how it compared to the listing — is the primary basis for resolution.
• BuzzCheck will review the listing, the item as received, and the verification findings.
• Where an item fails verification or does not match the listing, BuzzCheck refunds the buyer and withholds the seller's payout for that sale.

Attempting to arrange payment outside of BuzzCheck to circumvent fees or policies will result in permanent account termination for both parties involved.

11. Limitation of Liability

BuzzCheck operates the marketplace and verifies items but is not the seller and is not a party to the underlying sale between buyer and seller. Verification is a functional test and listing check, not a warranty or guarantee of future performance. BuzzCheck's total liability to any party for any claim arising from a transaction shall not exceed the total value of that transaction. BuzzCheck is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to or from our verification team beyond the refund remedy described in these Terms.

12. Privacy & Data

BuzzCheck collects personal information necessary to operate the marketplace, including name, address, payment information, and transaction history. This data is used solely to facilitate transactions, comply with legal obligations, and improve the BuzzCheck platform. BuzzCheck does not sell user data to third parties. 13. Changes to These Terms

BuzzCheck may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of BuzzCheck after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. For significant changes, we will notify users by email.

1. Who we are

BuzzCheck Inc. ("BuzzCheck", "we", "us") operates a verification marketplace for used tech at buzzcheck.shop. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to buyers, sellers, and visitors.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, name, and verified email.
• Order & shipping information — the shipping name, address, phone, and email you provide at checkout so we can fulfil and deliver your order.
• Listing content — the photos, descriptions, prices, and condition grades sellers upload.
• Payment information — card and bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. BuzzCheck never sees or stores your full card number.
• Technical data — basic log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working.

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To process purchases, run verification, arrange shipping, and issue refunds.
• To pay out sellers through Stripe Connect.
• To send transactional emails (order confirmations, status updates, offer responses, password resets).
• To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email without your consent.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run the marketplace: with Stripe (payments and payouts), with shipping carriers (to deliver items), and with service providers that host our infrastructure and send our email. Buyers and sellers see only what's necessary to complete a transaction (for example, a seller is told an item sold and where to ship it — to BuzzCheck, not to the buyer directly). We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal and accounting requirements. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes; password-reset links are stored only as hashes and expire after one hour. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and restrict access to personal data.

6. Your choices & rights

You can view and update your account details in your account settings. You may request a copy or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements, by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

7. Cookies

We use a single essential, httpOnly authentication cookie to keep you signed in, plus a short-lived cookie during Google sign-in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

1. How escrow protects you

When you buy on BuzzCheck, your payment is captured up front and held in escrow — the seller is not paid until your item has been shipped to BuzzCheck, tested by our verification team, and confirmed to match the listing. Only then is the seller's payout released. This is the core of BuzzCheck buyer protection.

2. When you get a full refund

• The item fails verification (doesn't power on, doesn't function as described, or is not authentic).
• The item doesn't match the listing — wrong model, wrong specs, or a worse condition than the stated grade.
• The seller never ships the item to BuzzCheck within the required window.
• Your order is cancelled before the item ships to you.

A full refund covers the item price, the service and authentication fees, and any shipping you paid.

3. How refunds are issued

Refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe. Once we issue a refund, it typically takes 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer. You'll get an email confirmation the moment a refund is issued, and the order will show as Refunded in your account.

4. Items delivered with a problem

Every item is verified before it reaches you, but if something is wrong on arrival, contact us within 3 days of delivery at support@buzzcheck.shop with your order number and photos. We'll review it and make it right — repair, replacement where possible, or a refund.

5. What isn't covered

• Buyer's remorse after a verified item has been delivered as described (all sales of verified, as-described items are final).
• Damage caused after delivery.
• Cosmetic wear that is consistent with the item's stated condition grade.

6. Sellers & payouts

Because funds are held in escrow, a seller's payout is only released after their item passes verification. If an item fails, it is returned to the seller and the buyer is refunded. See the Terms & Conditions for full seller terms.
